4.9 Functional Modules
Each functional module has been developed for a specific function within the fire detection
system.
All modules feature:
– robust, totally enclosed housings
– replacement during operation
– pluggable connection terminals
– automatic detection
The plug contacts in the panel rail provide the power supply to the modules and handle all
data traffic between the module and control panel.
The module is automatically identified as soon as it is plugged in. Contact with peripherals is
achieved with compact plug/screw terminals. If a module is replaced
the plug/screw terminals are simply re-fitted, with no need for complex rewiring.
Functional settings on the modules are made using the FSP-5000-RPS programming software.
