with alcohol.Then
apply a small amount of
lubricant.

Checks
Is trouble occurring due to twisting or
fraying of the wire that is wound onto
the wire pulley while the scanner is
moving?
Gently move mirror1 mount manual-
ly. Does it move smoothly?
Is the trouble resolved when the car-
tridge is replaced?
Is slipping or fracturing occurring
due to gear wear of the printer unit
main drive assembly?
Check the connection of connector
J304 on the DC controller PCB and
the laser scanner unit. Is the connec-
tor firmly connected?
Is the trouble resolved when the
laser scanner unit is replaced?
