The CPU tray is heavy! Never attempt to lift or maneuver the tray by yourself! Instead, use a lift, scissors
jack, or some other device to lift and bear the weight of the CPU tray while you are installing or servicing it.
If you must lift or handle the tray without mechanical assistance, use two or more people to lift and handle
server. Always use safe lifting practices when lifting or moving the CPU tray.
Warning
To replace the CPU Tray, gather a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
Use the following task to replace the entire CPU Tray.
Procedure
Step 1 Remove the CPU Tray:
a) Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two (2) thumbscrews.
b) Pull the tray handle to detach the CPU Tray from the main chassis assembly.

Step 2 Replace the CPU Tray:
a) Insert the CPU Tray into the main chassis assembly.
b) Push back the tray handle until it latches into place.
c) Using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the two (2) thumbscrews to secure the CPU Tray to the main chassis assembly.
