Hot Swapping the Fan Module
The server has twelve fan modules for proper cooling. Fans direct airflow front-to-back, and each fan is a hot
swappable FRU. Fan replacement is a tool less procedure.
Use the following task to remove and replace a fan module.
Procedure
Step 1 Remove the hot swap fan module:
a) Press the latch to disengage the fan module from the cage.
b) Pull the handle to detach the fan module from the server.
