CONDENSATEDRAIN/
NEUTRALIZER
INSTALLATION
The drain trap is located on the left
side of the blower compartment in
upflow models and on the right side
of the control compartment on
downflow/horizontal models. The
trap may be adapted to drain to the
opposite side of the cabinet if
required.
A short piece of 1 /2" PVC pipe and a
1/2" tee are supplied with the
furnace. Connect the 1/2" pipe to the
elbow on the trap so that the pipe
just protrudes outside the cabinet.
Attach the stem of the tee to this pipe
so that the open ends point up and
down. Connect a 5" pipe riser to the
end pointing up and a drain tube to
the end pointing down. Route the
drain tube to a floor drain or
condensate pump.
Upflow units
do not have the hoses
connected to the trap. They are
installed at the factory with enough
length to drain from either side.
BEFORE ATTACHING THE HOSES
TO THE TRAP,
cut them to the
appropriate length. Secure the hoses
to the trap with two hose clamps
provided.
