Step 2 Check the box to enable PPPoE function and input the PPPoE user name and
password.
Step 3 Click Save to complete the setup.
Step 4 Device connects to the internet via PPPoE. You can get the IP address in the
WAN from the IP address column.
Note
After enable PPPoE function, the IP address on the TCP/IP
(Setup->Network->TCP/IP) interface is read-only.
5.7.2.6 DDNS
DDNS(Dynamic Domain Name Server) is to dynamically refresh the DNS domain name
and IP address if the device IP address has changed frequently. The user can use the
domain to access the device.
Preparation
Before the operation, make sure the device supports DNS type and go to the DDNS
service provider website to register the domain name via the PC.
If the DDNS type is Dahua DDNS, there is no need to register DDNS.
If the DDNS type is not Dahua DDNS, please go to the corresponding DDNS website
to register user name, password, domain name and etc.
Steps
Step 1 From main interface->Setup->Network->DDNS.
Enter DDNS interface. See Figure 5-62.
