5.7 Malfunction of Capacity Setting

Detection
Capacity is determined according to resistance of the capacity setting adapter and the memory
inside the IC memory on the indoor unit PCB, and whether the value is normal or abnormal is
determined.

Operation and:
(1)When the capacity code is not contained in the PCB’s memory, and the capacity setting
adapter is not connected.
(2)When a capacity that doesn’t exist for that unit is set.

Troubleshooting
Note: Capacity is factory set in the data IC on the PCB. A capacity setting adapter that matches the
capacity of the unit is required in the following case.
If the indoor PCB installed at the factory is for some reason changed at the installation site, the
capacity will not be contained in the replacement PCB.
If you connect a capacity setting adapter to a PCB in which the capacity is memorized, the
capacity setting for the PCB will become the capacity setting of the adapter. (Priority of capacity
setting adapter)
