Why Datalogic DS6300's “Phase On” LED doesn't light up on external trigger?
    • H
      hsotoSep 23, 2025
If the Master’s “Phase On” LED isn't lighting up when the external trigger activates, consider these points: * Confirm whether you're using the 25/26-pin connector or the C-BOX 100 spring clamp connectors. * Check if the sensor is properly connected to the EXT TRIG/PS input. * Ensure power is supplied to the photo sensor. * Verify power is supplied to one of the two EXT TRIG/PS (NPN output). * Check if one of the two EXT TRIG/PS is grounded (PNP output). * Confirm the photo sensor LEDs (if any) are functioning correctly. * Verify the alignment of the sensor/reflector system (if present).

What to do if my Datalogic Barcode Reader is not transmitting data?
    • C
      Carla WalkerAug 26, 2025
If the Datalogic Barcode Reader is not transmitting data to the host, check the serial cable connection and wiring. When using MAIN RS232 or RS485, ensure the reference ground is connected to proper SGND Main Isolated (GND_ISO), being careful that it differs from GND power ground. If using C-BOX 100, make sure the RS485 termination switch is OFF. Verify that the serial host settings match the serial device settings.

Why is my Datalogic DS6300 sending incorrect data?
    • D
      Danielle BrownAug 27, 2025
If data transferred to the host is incorrect, corrupted, or incomplete, use the Genius™ program to check the HEADER, TERMINATOR, SEPARATOR, and FILL CHAR values in the DATA COMMUNICATION SETTINGS/DATA FORMAT folder. Also, check the CODE FIELD LENGTH value and ensure the COM port parameters are correctly assigned.

What to do if my Datalogic DS6300 cannot read barcodes?
    • J
      joseph27Aug 27, 2025
If the Datalogic Barcode Reader isn't reading the target barcode and always returns 'No Read', check the synchronization of the reading pulse with the object. Ensure the scan line is correctly positioned and the barcode is in the center of the scan line; then run TEST MODE via Genius™ (Operating Modes). Also, verify the reading distance, tilt angle, and that the skew angle is less than 10° (for direct reflection). Enable different code types (except Pharmacode) with LENGTH = Variable in the CODE tab. Check the barcode quality. If unsuccessful, test with the BARCODE TEST CHART included with the product.

What to check if Datalogic DS6300 Barcode Reader is not triggered in Serial On Line Mode?
    • R
      Reginald CarrollSep 14, 2025
If your Datalogic Barcode Reader, in Serial On Line Mode, isn't being triggered and shows no reading results, use the Genius™ program to check if serial on line is enabled as the “On Line options” parameter value within the OPERATING MODE folder. Also, ensure the Start-Stop strings are correctly assigned and that the serial trigger source is properly connected and configured.

What to do if Datalogic DS6300 is not transmitting data to the host?
    • J
      Jacqueline KelleySep 12, 2025
If your Datalogic Barcode Reader isn't transmitting data to the host, verify the serial cable connection and wiring. Ensure that if you're using the MAIN RS232 or RS485 interface, the reference ground is connected to the proper SGND Main Isolated (GND_ISO), being careful that it's not different from the GND power ground. For CBX100/CBX500, make sure the RS485 termination switch is OFF. Also, confirm that the serial host settings match the serial device settings.

Why is the power LED not lit on my Datalogic DS6300?
    • L
      Lee LawsonSep 13, 2025
If the “Power On” LED on your Datalogic Barcode Reader isn't lit, check the following: Is the power connected? If using an external power supply (like PG6000), is it connected to the AC source? If using rail power, does the rail have power? If using CBX100/CBX500, does it have power (check the switch and LED)? Also, verify whether you're using the 25/26-pin connector or the CBX100/CBX500 spring clamp connectors. Measure the voltage at pin 13 and 25 (for the 25/26-pin connector) or at the spring clamp Vdc and GND (for CBX100/CBX500).

What to do if Datalogic Barcode Reader's “Phase On” LED is lit but there are no reading results?
    • R
      Rebecca StephensSep 5, 2025
If the Master’s “Phase On” LED is correctly lit, but you're not getting any reading results, make sure your software configuration aligns with your application conditions. Use the Genius™ software and check the OPERATING MODES folder to verify related parameters.

How to fix Datalogic DS6300 Barcode Reader when it is not possible to read the target barcode?
    • M
      Molly WardSep 2, 2025
If your Datalogic Barcode Reader consistently returns 'No Read' when trying to scan a barcode, check the synchronization of the reading pulse with the object. Position the barcode in the center of the scan line and use the TEST MODE (selectable via Genius™ in Operating Modes). If issues persist, ensure the reading distance is within the allowed range (refer to the reading diagrams). Enable various code types (excluding Pharmacode) under the CODE tab and set LENGTH to Variable. Verify the barcode quality. If still unsuccessful, try the BARCODE TEST CHART included with the product.
