  If the Denon Stereo Receiver's power suddenly switches off and the power indicator flashes red at approximately 0.5-second intervals, it could be due to using speakers that don't have the specified impedance. Also, the protection circuit might have been activated because the core wires of different speaker cables touched or a core wire slipped out and is touching the receiver's rear panel. To resolve this, unplug the power cord, twist the core wires together tightly, or effect termination treatments, and then reconnect.
