Setting steps
1. Lock the machine in place at position 1 ( p
. 19).
2. Position the upper stitch length adjusting wheel to 0.
3. Loosen the screw (1) for the needle bar (2).
4. Move the height of the needle bar (2) such that the hook tip (3) is in the
middle of the lower third of the groove for the needle (4).
Do not twist the needle to the side in doing so. The groove (4) must
fa
ce towards the hook.
5. Tighten the screw (1) for the needle bar (2).
6
. Remove the locking mechanism ( p. 19).
7. Check the height of the needle bar at maximum stitch length when sew-
ing forwards and reverse, adjust it again if necessary.
