1.1 Use as intended
The easyE4 device is a programmable switching and controller device that is used to
replace relay and contactor controls.
It is intended exclusively for monitoring, operating, and controlling machines and sys-
tems, as well as building and automation services for commercial buildings.
Any other use must be discussed and agreed upon with the manufacturer in
advance.
The easyE4 are approved for use in closed spaces.
Important
The easyE4 device must be used only in locations for which the device
is approved. Make sure to read and follow the information and labels
on the nameplate for the device, as well as section Approvals and
standards in the appendix.

Prohibited uses, actions, etc.
It is strictly prohibited to use the device to implement safety-relevant
functions (in the sense of personal and machine protection) or safety-
related controls (such as burner, emergency stop, and two-hand
safety controls).
