2.5 Control Unit and Drive Unit Installation
2.5.1 Environment
For using the robot system function properly and safely, a suitable environment is required.
Install the control unit in a location meets the following conditions.

Install the controller at a height of 0.4 to 2m above the floor to maintain easi
ly.
-off switch at a height of 0.6 to 1.9m.
- The Controller unit or drive unit are not designed for cleanroom specification. If it
must be installed in a cleanroom, be sure to install it in a proper enclosure with adequate
ventilation and cooling.
- Install Controller unit or drive unit in a location that allows easy connection /
disconnection of cables.
- Install Controller unit or drive unit outside of the safety door.

Use a base table that is at least 100 mm off the floor.
Placing the Controller directly on the floor could allow
dust penetration leading to malfunction.
Installation face
Inclination 0.5 ° or less
(When installing vertically, the control unit or drive unit may
fall over if you touch them.)
If the control unit must be used in an environment that does not fulfill the conditions
mentioned above, take adequate countermeasures. For example, the control unit may be
enclosed in a cabinet with adequate ventilation and cooling.
- Install indoors, and place in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep away from direct sunlight.
- Keep away from radiation heat.
- Keep away from dust, oily mist, oil, salinity, metal powder or other contaminants.
- Keep away from water.
- Keep away from shocks or vibrations.
- Keep away from sources of electronic noise
- Keep away from strong electric or magnetic fields.
