12 Using a MIB Browser
In general, the EAN is intended for management from PEM and the CLI
only. However, it is possible to use a standard MIB browser to read a lim-
ited number of MIB parameters from the embedded nodes. Only the follow-
ing MIBs can be read from the embedded nodes:
• Adsl MIB (RFC2662)
• Adsl extension MIB (RFC3440)
• IpDSLAMModemPool_ADSL
• IpDSLAMModemPool_TEST
• IpDSLAMModemPool_BRIDGE
• IpDSLAMModemPool_IF
Caution!
Do not set MIB parameters using a MIB browser.
Use the Advanced Node configuration if needed.
In order to reach the embedded node (which is concealed from the rest of
the network) the embedded node must be identified through the instance
part of the SNMP Object Identifier (OID). Note that the SNMP GET NEXT
operation is not supported. The embedded node is identified by a six or
seven digits integer (leading zero may be omitted). The Line Identifier is
constructed according to the following rules:
