(2) Installation battery SV-BAT-320
(a) Place the battery (1, Fig. 24-12) on the bracket (6) and attach it by means of the
screws (3), washers (5) and the nuts (4).
(b) Connect the connector (2) to the harness.
(c) Install the cover of the upper part of the fuselage F4 (Section 53-30).
(d) Connect the battery.
(3) Adjustment / testtest of battery SV-BAT-320
(a) When the yellow symbol of the battery with the exclamation mark (!) appears, it
means that it is necessary to carry out the test. The battery symbol with the
exclamation mark is indicted in the upper part of the display next to the hours
indicator.
(b) By pressing down the MESSAGE button or the CAUTION / WARNING button
located in the right lower corner of the display, the message BATTERY TEST
NEEDED appears.
(c) Check the condition of battery charging:
1 Press down button No. 7 on the display and simultaneously switch on the
MASTER SWITCH.
The system enters the Setup Menu.
2 Using the rotary switch, select:
LOCAL DISPLAY SETUP > BATTERY BACKUP (SV-BAT-320) STATUS
--- CHARGE STATUS must beCHARGED“ ---
3 In the case when the system indicates other status than “CHARGED“,
charge the battery.
After switching on the display, the battery is charged automatically if the
voltage of the network is higher than 12,5 V.
A partly discharged battery may result in an unsuccessful test.
The page Setup menu also shows the test result TEST RESULT = PASS /
FAIL.
Check the condition of the battery charging for both displays.
4 A valid GPS signal is necessary for the performance of the battery test.
After switching off the master switch, the TEST BAT (button No. 8) appears
in the right corner.
The test is initiated by pressing down this button.
Other instructions for the test are indicated on the display during the test.
The test takes 60 minutes and for a correct performance of the test, the
battery must have an endurance of 45 minutes at least.
5 An unsuccessful test is indicated by the red cross in the X form across the
battery symbol in the upper part of the display.
6 After performing the battery test, recharge the batteries up to 100%.
The switched on displays automatically recharge batteries if the voltage of
the on-board network is higher than 12,5 V.
7 The detailed description of the activities related to the performance of the
battery is shown in the document Dynon SkyView System Installation Guide,
Document 101320-022, Revision W, dated January 2016 or a later valid
issue.
