13 SETUP MENU
Open the menu by pressing the SETUP button (Push-knob E) on the Home page. The current Firmware Version
is shown at the top of the page. To enter a menu, select it with NAV and press ENTER. All changes take effect
immediately without needing to be stored. The settings for Setup parameters are included in a backup of the
System (see "Backing Up & Restoring" on p. 101)
Reminder: All changes in the FC Controllers menu take effect immediately with no need to store.
FC CONTROLLERS: CONFIG PAGE
PARAMETER Description
Bank Size
1–12
"Preset in Bank" footswitch functions map presets into dynamic “Banks”
whose size is set by this parameter. The Factory Layouts set Bank Size as
needed but you can change it for use with custom layouts . Bank Size should
correspond to the number of “Preset in Bank” switches in your layout(s).
Bank Switch Limits
DISABLED, ENABLED
"Bank Inc/Dec" footswitches can be set to limit the number of accessible
banks. For instance, if you have a Bank Size of 5 but only use 20 presets in
total, you could limit the Bank switches so they cannot accidentally leave
these presets. (The functions "Upper Limit" and "Lower Limit" are detailed in
"The Footswitch Functions Guide"). This global setting determines whether
or not such limits are enforced or ignored.
MLM Switch Combo
ENABLED, DISABLED
The Master Layout Menu (aka “MLM”, aka “Layout 9”) provides access to
other layouts. This setting disables or enables the switch combination used
to display this menu on the FM9 and any connected FC controllers.

Hold Function Timeout
0.25–2.00 seconds
This sets the time limit before a Hold function is automatically red,
beginning from the moment the switch is depressed. When a Hold function is
assigned, a Tap function res if the switch is released before the press and
hold timeout elapses. See also "The Rules of Switch Timing" on p. 70.
