1 Connect the modem cable to connector CN43 (Main Optical shelf) and secure with retaining
screws. See Figure 4-51 [p. 4-78].
2 Connect the other end of the modem cable to the appropriate external modem.
Note: To connect a PC directly to connector CN43, use a null-modem cable in place of the 21-176-xxx
cable.
