4.16.4 Installing Modem Cable (Main Optical Shelf SIA)
This procedure provides instructions for installing the 25-pin, D-sub modem cable on the
Main Optical shelf SIA. Table 4-3 [p. 4-79] lists pertinent information for this cable.
Figure 4-52 [p. 4-79] shows the cable connector pinouts.
Note: The modem cable is a standard RS-232 straight-through (not null-modem) cable
available at most computer supply stores.
