New SmartCards have a p reset PUK (see above).
if you want to re-initialise a previously initialised SmartC ard, you will need
to know the PU K which was assig ned to it.
► Enter the PUK.
When the following appears:
• ACCESS DENIED = You have entered an invalid PU K. After six failed attem pts ,
the SmartCa rd will be blocked and can no longer be used.
► Enter a new PIN at the following prompt:
Enter new PIN:
Confirm new PIN:
A number with 4 to 8 digits is acceptable for the new PUK. F or security
reasons, we recomm end that you change the PUK for every SmartCard,
and use an 8-digit number each time.
► Re-enter th e new PIN to confirm.
When the following appears:
• PIN/ PUK do not matc h = You have confi rmed the PIN incorrectly. Yo u will be
requested to re-en ter the new PIN and reconfirm.
Please wait a few seconds after co nfirming the new PIN: SystemLock is being installed.
The following message will be displayed if installation is successful:
