Precautions
WARNING
To avoid personal injury when performing maintenance on ÄKTA
start, follow the instructions below.
•
Electrical shock hazard. Do not open any covers or parts unless
specified in the user documentation. Except for the mainte-
nance and service described in the user documentation, all
other repairs should be done by a GE Service Engineer.
•
Disconnect power. Always switch off power to the instrument
before replacing any component on the instrument or cleaning
the instrument, unless stated otherwise in the user documen-
tation.
NOTICE
Replacement of modules located on the wet side of the instrument
must be performed by trained laboratory staff only.
NOTICE
Replacement of modules located on the inside of the instrument
must be performed by a GE Service Engineer only. If an internal
part needs to be replaced, please contact a GE Service Engineer.
