3.10 Outlet valve
Description
The Outlet valve can be switched to divert the flow, either to waste or to the Fraction
collector.
DescriptionParameter
•
Indicates how many times the valve has switched.
•
When a valve has been replaced, the number of counts
has to be reset to 0.
•
Turn valve switches the valve between the Waste and
Collection outlet ports. This option is used for trou-
bleshooting the valve.

Follow the instructions below to check if the Outlet valve functions properly.

Immerse the buffer inlet tubing A in demineralized water.
•
Place the outlet tubing from the Outlet valve in the waste bottle.
•
Check that:

Buffer A is selected in the Buffer valve screen

Buffer is selected in the Sample valve screen

Column is selected in the Wash valve screen

Start the Pump:2
•
In the Settings and service screen, access Pump:Diagnostics screen.
•
Enter the desired flow rate and then start the Pump, tap Start flow.
