Fill a syringe with distilled water, and connect the syringe to the Luer connector.3
Squirt the distilled water through the UV flow cell in small amounts. Disconnect the syringe.4
Fill a syringe with a 10% surfactant detergent solution, such as Decon 90, Deconex 11,
RBS 25 or equivalent, and connect the syringe to the Luer connector.
Tip:
Heat the 10% surfactant detergent solution to 40°C to increase the cleaning effect.

Squirt the detergent solution through the UV flow cell about five times.6
Leave the detergent solution in the flow cell for at least 20 minutes.7
Inject the detergent solution remaining in the syringe into the flow cell. Disconnect the
syringe.

Fill a syringe with distilled water. Connect the syringe to the Luer connector.9
Inject the distilled water into the UV flow cell to rinse the flow cell. Disconnect the syringe.10
Disconnect the Luer connector from the top of the UV flow cell. Reconnect the piece of
tubing from the Column valve to the top of the UV flow cell.

Disconnect the waste tubing from the bottom of the UV flow cell. Reconnect the piece
of tubing from the Conductivity monitor to the bottom of the UV flow cell.
