5.4.1 System pumps
Introduction
This section describes how to prime inlets and purge the System pumps.
Overview
The procedure consists of the following stages:

Prime all inlet tubing to be used during the run1

Validate purge of System pump B3
Purge System pump A4
Validate purge of System pump A5

The procedures for purging the pump heads and priming the inlets using the Process Picture,
are described below. It is also possible to perform the procedures from the Manual instructions
dialog.
Tip:
Prime inlet tubing
Follow the instructions below to fill all A and B inlet tubing to be used in the run with appropriate
buffer/solution.

Make sure that all inlet tubing that is to be used during the method run is placed in the
correct buffer.
