4.3.3 Define the system
Instructions
On the last page in the UNICORN installation program, you can choose to proceed to
define a system. To be able to monitor and control the system from the UNICORN client
you need to define the system in the UNICORN database. This is described in the table
below.
To enable connection tests, the instrument should be switched on during the
system definition.

In the Define System dialog:1
Select the appropriate instrument configuration from the Instrument Con-
figuration dropdown menu.
Tip:
The list includes all instrument configurations currently in the UNICORN
database. If your configuration is not included:
Insert the instrument configuration disk in your DVD-ROM drive.
Click the Import button and navigate to the configuration zip-file on the
disk.
Select the appropriate configuration file.
The Define System dialog changes and the Connect by option differs de-
pending on the chosen Instrument Configuration.
Enter a name in the System name field.
Note:
Name your system carefully. The name cannot be changed after the system
has been defined.
