4. The Version number displays. Your Gerber Field Service representative can
interpret it for you.
Note: There are two other ways to display the version screen.
1.
Hold down any key while the copyright message displays during power up.
Press any key to resume the power up sequence.
2.
From the MAIN MENU, press the slew up and slew down keys
simultaneously.
Error messages
The enVision plotter is programmed to detect certain mechanical/electrical error
conditions at power-up or during operation. A repetitive long-short, long-short
beeping pattern means that an error has been detected. When an error condition
occurs, the plotter may turn off power to the motors. The control panel displays
"System Error" followed by an error code number. The error code numbers and

Error/Failure Meaning Correction
1 ROM Read-Only Memory has been
corrupted.
Contact Field Service.
2 RAM Random-Access Memory has
been damaged.
Contact Field Service.
3 Plotter Type Invalid Jumpers indicate an illegal
type of plotter.
Retry. Call Field Service if retry fails.
6 MFP Failure Communication chip
malfunction.
Retry. Call Field Service if retry fails.
7 Heartbeat Intr Failure Electrical control board
failure.
Retry. Call Field Service if retry fails.
8 Display Failure Display not responding. Retry. Call Field Service if retry fails.
9 Encoder Zeroing Failed Encoder chip failure. Retry. Call Field Service if retry fails.
10 X Axis Wiring Failure Correct X axis wiring. Contact Field Service.
11 Y Axis Wiring Failure Correct Y axis wiring. Contact Field Service.
12 Z Axis Wiring Failure Correct Z axis wiring. Contact Field Service.
13 X Axis Encoder Failure Check X axis encoder and
power connectors.
