7.2 Troubleshooting Related to Cutting
The printer does not work when the power is on
Symptom Cause Solution
The control panel's READY lamp does
not light.
Nothing appears on the LCD panel.
The printer is not being supplied with
power.
The printer is defective.
Verify that the power cable is properly
plugged into the printer.
Verify that the power switch is ON.
The control panel's DATA lamp
does not light or flash.
Data is not being properly transmitted. Verify that the interface cable is
properly plugged into the printer.
Data remains in the PC's printer driver. After deleting the data that remains in
the printer driver properties, resend
the data.
The control panel's READY lamp lights
up, but the printer does not operate.
"E90: Cutter Unit Communication error"
is displayed on the LCD panel.
The printer is defective. Please contact the distributor where
you purchased the unit or your nearest
Graphtec vender.
When an Error Message is Displayed
Symptom Cause Solution
On the LCD panel "E04: Position Error"
is displayed.
The load is large, and the current to
the monitor exceeds specifications.
Remove whatever is interfering with
the operation, and reconnect the
power.
There is something wrong with the cut
materials condition setting.
Reduce the cut speed.
Reduce the cut pressure.
Something is contacting the tool
carriage.
Remove whatever is interfering with
the operation, and reconnect the
power.
An external force is added to the tool
carriage during the cut.
Remove whatever is interfering with
the operation, and reconnect the
power.
The material scraps have entered
the moving parts and degraded
performance.
Remove whatever is interfering with
the operation, and reconnect the
power.
When this occurs frequently, please contact the distributor where you
purchased the unit or your nearest Graphtec vender.
