3) Then, the Connect To window as shown in Figure 1-4
appears. Select the serial port you want to
use from the Connect using drop-down list, and then click OK.

4) The COM1 Properties window as shown in Figure 1-5
appears. On the window, set Bits per
second to 9600, Data bits to 8, Parity to None, Stop bits to 1, and Flow control to None. Click
OK.
