3.1 Pre-operation Inspection
Subject of inspection Method of checking
Is the fuse worn out? Touch the test lead to the zero-adjust
board. If the resistance display still
shows a value of "- - . - -" the fuse
might be worn out or the test lead dis-
connected.
Is the test lead discon-
nected?
Is sufficient power
remaining in the bat-
tery?
The icon in the upper right-hand
area of the screen indicates the current
battery status. If the following
icon is displayed, the batteries are
almost empty: Replace the batteries.
Inspecting batteries Measurement may be impossible for
insulated terminals, due to an insuffi-
cient flow of current for measurement.
In such a case, clean the terminal
(removing the insulation) before mea-
surement.
