Premature engine wear or
damage may result.
Retained Accessory
Power (RAP)
The power windows will operate
when the key is in the ON or
ACCESSORIES position.
Once the ignition is turned to the
LOCK position, the RAP allows the
power windows to continue to
operate for up to 10 minutes. If a
door is opened during this time, they
will be deactivated.
Note: The audio system w ill be
deactivated only if the driver’s door
is opened.
Parking
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Select position P.
3. Shut all windows.
4. Switch off the ignition and
remove the key.
5. Press the
Q button on the key to
lock all doors and to arm the
alarm system. See Vehicle
Alarm System on page 2‑9.
Note: The engine fan may keep
running for several minutes after the
ignition has been switched off. This
is normal.

WARNING
Be careful where you park or
drive. As with any vehicle, do not
park or operate the vehicle in
areas where combustible
materialssuchasdrygrassor
leaves can come in contact w ith a
hot exhaust system.
Exhaust gases are hazardous,
especially if they build up in
closed spaces.
Never leave the engine running in
an enclosed space such as a
closed garage or underground
car pa rk.
Automatic
Transmission
Press the select button on the front
of the gear lever to move into any
position.
