Seats and Restraints 3-19
1. Raise the head restraint fully.
2. Insert a small probe into the hole
on the non-adjusting pole guide.
3. Press the probe inwards.
4. Simultaneously press the
release button.
5. Lift the head restraint up
and out.
6. Store the head restraint in a safe
location.
7. Reinstall the head restraint when
the child seat is no longer fitted.

Always follow the child restraint
man ufacturer’s fitting instructions
when installing a child restraint in
the vehicle.
Note: Refer to the relevant
legislation, an approved child
restraint fitting station, or capsule
manufacturer’s information for the
recommended type of child restraint
to use.
Child restraint seatbelt locking
feature
The rear seatbelts have a child
restraint locking feature.
When engaged, this feature
prevents the seatbelt from being
loosened without releasing the
buckle.
To engage:
1. Clip the metal tongue into the
buckle.
2. Pull the shoulder belt all the way
out of the retractor to set the
lock. When the retractor lock is
set, the belt can be tightened but
not pulled out of the retractor.
3. To tighten the belt around the
installed child seat, push down
on the child restraint, pull the
shoulder portion of the belt to
tighten the lap portion of the belt,
and feed the shoulder belt back
into the retractor.
4. Try to pull the belt out of the
retractor to make sure the
retractor is locked. If the
retractor is not locked, repeat
Steps 2 to 4.
5. To remove, press the release
button on the buckle and allow
the belt to f ully retract .
Where to Put the
Restraint

WARNING
Child restraint anchorages are
designed to withstand only those
loads imposed by correctly fitted
child restraints. Under no
circumstances are they to be
used for adult seatbelts, for
harnesses, or for attaching other
items or equipment to the vehicle.
