4. Screw the unit into the junction box until the assembly is secure with the mounting plate trapped
between the box and the Searchpoint Optima Plus.
5. Remove the covers from the ends of the gassing cell inlet tubes.
6. Attach the gassing tubing to the ends of the gassing cell inlet tubes.
7. Fasten the mounting plate to the wall of the duct, ensuring that the seal is compressed.
8. Fitapprovedcableglandstothejunctionboxcableentriesasrequiredtomaintainthecertication
and IP rating.
9. Fitapprovedblankingplugstounusedjunctionboxcableentriesasrequiredtomaintainthecertication
and IP rating.
10.Fittheexternaleldwiringthroughthecableglandsandsecure.
11.TerminatethegasdetectorandeldwiringinaccordancewithChapter4(ElectricalInstallation).

The Remote Gassing Cell (RGC) is used for functional response checking (bump testing) when the
SearchpointOptimaPlusisinstalledinaninaccessiblelocation.TheRGCshouldbettedwithgassing
accessoriesasfollows:-
1. Useaninletpipettedwithaninlineparticlelter.
2. Useanexhaustpipettedwithaone-wayvalve.
3. Ensure that the exhaust vents well away from the Searchpoint Optima Plus to avoid affecting the gas
reading.
4. HighconcentrationgaswillbeusedintheRGC.Ensurethattheexhaustventssafely.
