8. Remove the cache module.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
M.2 SSD enablement kit
For more information about product features, specifications, options, configurations, and compatibility, see

To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 17).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Remove the server from the rack (on page 27).
4. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 36).
5. Release the M.2 SSD SATA cables from the cable management holder.
6. Open the cable management holder (on page 32).
7. Disconnect the SATA cables from the M.2 SSD enablement board and the system board.
