To install the remote operator interface, do the steps that follow:
1. If necessary, de-energize the system at the Altanium main power switch. Refer to
Figure 15-2.
2. If necessary, lock out and tag the main power switch in accordance with local codes.
3. Make sure that the remote operator interface is installed on a level surface that can
support the unit safely.
4. Find the 7.6 m (25 ft) Communication and Power cables. Refer to Figure 15-26.
5. Connect the female end of the 7.6 m (25 ft) communication cable to the male
communication connector on the back of the controller mainframe. Refer to
Figure 15-27.
6. Connect the male end of the 7.6 m (25 ft) power cable to the female power connector
on the back of the controller mainframe. Refer to Figure 15-27.
WARNING!
Make sure that the operator interface is in an area free of vibration to prevent
premature failure of the electronic components in the MCU and touch monitor. Make
sure that the operator interface is in an area free of debris and liquids. If the leveling
pads are used, make sure that the operator interface is put on a flat level surface to
prevent the unit from movement or falling when in use.
