BASIC OPERATION
N Mode selection
D VFO mode
VFO mode is used to set the desired frequency.
± Push [V/MHz] to select the VFO mode.
VFO mode indication
What is VFO?
VFO is an abbreviation of Variable Frequency Oscillator. Fre-
quencies for both transmitting and receiving are generated
and controlled by the VFO.
D Memory mode
Memory mode is used for operation on memory channels
which store programmed frequencies.
q Push [M/CALL] to select memory mode.
appears when memory mode is selected.
Push [M/CALL] several times to select call channels/TV* chan-
nels. Memory/Call/TV* channels can be selected in sequence.

w Rotate [DIAL] to select the desired memory channel.
• Only programmed memory channels can be selected.
Enter the memory channel directly to select the desired memory
channel. (p. 92)

* Appears only when TV channels are programmed via the
CS-80/880 (free download software).
Set the attenuator function ON (p. 25) if the received signal
is blocked by another radio transmitter when using a third
party high-gain antenna.
