1.17.1 Installing the Pirani Gauge on to the Extension Flange
1 Insert the VCR gasket into the 4-VCR female ports on both the Pirani gauge
and the flange.
2 Connect one end of the 4-VCR male-to-male adapter to the 4-VCR female port
of the extension flange following standard VCR protocols.
3 Connect the 4-VCR Female Pirani gauge connection to the other side of the
4-VCR male-to-male right-angle adapter.
4 Ensure that the Pirani is aligned parallel with the extension tube with the
connection end pointed towards the electronics module.
5 The resulting assembly will look like Figure 1-8.

1.17.2 Installing the Extension Flange and Sensor onto the Vacuum System
Installation instructions for the extension flange, sensor and electronics module are
identical to the instructions for a standard Transpector MPH. Refer to Hardware
Installation on page 1-9.
