8.19 Replacing the strut
Note
Invacare® always recommends replacing both struts in order to ensure that the mobility aid
works perfectly.
There are different struts for different weight classes. Further details can be found in the spare
parts catalogue.
CAUTION: Danger of crushing!
• The mobility aid is very heavy. You should seek help from a second person!
CAUTION: Injury hazard if the vehicle starts moving unintentionally during repair work!
• Switch the power supply off (ON/OFF key)!
• Engage the drive!
• Before raising the vehicle, secure the wheels by blocking them with wedges!
Requirements:
• 4 mm Allen key
• 6 mm Allen key
• long wooden blocks, min. 14 x 14 x 30 cm
Federbein demontieren:
• Remove the rear and the centre battery compartment cover as described in chapters 8.1.1
and Fehler! Verweisquelle konnte nicht gefunden werden..
• Remove the drive wheel as described in chapter 8.16.1.
• Loosen the pin retainer (1) at the spring.
• Remove the spacer (8).
• Remove the pin (5). In doing so, please pay attention to the washer (7) and the
spacer (6).
