Examples

When a pulse load of 1KW and 100μs width repeats in period of 500μs, the averaged

power will be

1KW × (100μs ÷ 500μs ) = 200W

So it is possible to apply this load conditions for up to 20 seconds.

When a pulse load of 200W and 20s width followed by 3s or longer pause, the averaged

power will be

200W × (20s ÷ (20s + 3s) ) ≒ 174W

The calculated average power will be less than 175W.

So it is possible to operate consecutively.
