ORION XT Interface Module
A problem in a high-sensitivity smoke
detector (HSSD) being monitored by a
PALM/APIC. Excessively high air flow
through the piping system
• Look for leaks in the HSSD's piping
system
• Use ORION Configuration Software or
AIR-Intelligence Remote
Configuration Software to
troubleshoot the HSSD. The airflow
may need to re- normalized.
• Refer to ORION XT Installation,
Operation, and Maintenance Manual,

ORION XT Interface Module
The PALM/APIC at address L#: Addr is
reporting an offset problem with the
HSSD that it is monitoring. This is
probably a problem with the
background obscuration level in the
area of the HSSD.
• Work with the end user to improve the
air quality in the HSSD location.
• Check the PALM/APIC-to-HSSD
connections
• Use ORION Configuration Software or
AIR-Intelligence Remote
Configuration Software to
troubleshoot the HSSD.
