Note:
Values (hexadecimal) within [ ] indicate paper misfeed locations.
Reference 1:
Widthwise A4 size and lengthwise A5 are identical in length, however, the fuser
temperature differs. Detecting the fuser temperature depending on this temper-
ature difference allows detection of paper misfeed due to a wrong paper size.
Reference 2:
The DU cover of the duplex paper conveying section is designed to operate as
being held against the main unit as the paper cassette is installed. (Paper feed-
ing fails when the paper cassette is not properly installed because of the resul-
tant space between the DU cover and the main unit.) Therefore, paper jam
occurs if the paper cassette is opened in the middle of duplex printing.
