Step 9. Peel away the XClarity Controller network access label on the processor heat sink and attach it to
the network access tag on the front of the server.

Step 10. Install the following components:
• Install the DIMMs (see

• Install the PCIe riser assembly if necessary (see
“Install the PCIe riser assembly” on page 106).
• Install an M.2 adapter if necessary (see
“Install a M.2 data adapter” on page 45 and “Install the
M.2 boot adapter” on page 40
and “Install the M.2 WLAN/LTE wireless adapter” on page 42).
• Install the power distribution module (see
“Install the power distribution module” on page 109).
• Connect front operator panel or the front I/O assembly cables (see
“Install the front operator
panel” on page 68).
