2. Turn off the server. Disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see “Power off the server” on

Step 1. Press and hold the release latch.
Step 2. Lift the TPM card (for Chinese Mainland only) out of the server.

If you are instructed to return the defective component, please package the part to prevent any shipping
damage. Reuse the packaging the new part arrived in and follow all packaging instructions.

Use this information to install the TPM card (for Chinese Mainland only).
Before you install the TPM card (for Chinese Mainland only), complete the following steps:
1. Read the following sections to ensure that you work safely.

“Safety” on page iii
• “Installation Guidelines” on page 37
2. Turn off the server. Disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see “Power off the server” on
page 16
).
3. Touch the static-protective package that contains the new TPM card to any unpainted surface on the
outside of the server. Then, take the new TPM card out of the package and place it on a static-protective
surface.
