2.7 Information on charging the battery
On delivery and prior to use of the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit, it is expressly
recommended to fully charge the battery and recharge after the first few uses.
Thisallowsachievement of the maximum number of approximately 300 charging cycles.
Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 is equipped with alithium ion battery, which, unlike standard rechargeable
batteries, only exhibits avery low, temperature-dependent self-discharge of 3-10% per month.
The Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 should be stored and charged taking the ambient conditions specified
in the technical data into account, ideally at room temperature.
The Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 including battery must never be stored uncharged!
Lithium ion batteries do not have amemory effect. They can and thus should be recharged at
any time following asuccessful initial charge (see above).
However, avoid charging the battery frequently for short periods of time.
Even though the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 battery includes safety precautions to protect against
deep discharging, the charging information above should still be taken into consideration.
Thebattery is also protected against overheating during charging. Should the battery temperature
be exceeded during charging due to ambient conditions other than intended, charging will be
temporarily interrupted to allow cooling. This is asafety precaution to protect the battery.
PLEASE NOTE
The Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 can be used when charging via the power supply!
2.8 Pressure settings
The pressure settings range between -20 and -200mmHg (in 5mmHg intervals).
Our recommendations:
(a) Negative pressure setting in Continuous mode:
-60 to -80mmHg
(b) Negative pressure setting in Intermittent mode:
Max: -60 to -80mmHg at a2-5 minute interval
Min: -40 to -60mmHg at a2-5 minute interval
The negative pressure settings can be customised by the qualified healthcare professional as
soon as the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 is switched on. The factory default pressure is -80mmHg.
