Heat accumulation and dust
• The power supply and therapy unit should not be covered during operation,
with the exception of storage in the carry bag provided for this purpose.
• Protect the therapy unit and charging cable from direct sunlight and other
sources of heat such as radiators.
• Protect the device and accessories from excessive accumulation of dust.
On delivery and prior to first use of the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit, it is expressly
recommended to fully charge the battery and recharge after the first few uses.
3.2 Function test
Perform afunction test on the charged therapy unit with the exudate pouch and container
connected before you use the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 for therapy.
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 on as described in the Section “Switching the device on
andoff”.
2. Start the therapy and let the therapy unit run without aconnected wound dressing.
Themessage “System is open” should appear after 30-40 seconds.
If “System open” appears, proceed to 3.
However, should the message “System is blocked” appear, the internal filter
oftheSuprasorb
®
CNP P3 is blocked and needs to be replaced by an
authorised L&R service partner.
3. Confirm the “System is open” message with

4. Close the tube clamp on the exudate pouch tube. The “System is blocked” message
shouldappear after two minutes at the latest and be confirmed with
