8 Transport, storage and disposal
Please read “Important information on your safety”, Section 1.5.
8.1 Decontamination before shipping
CAUTION
Avoiding infections
Infectious and pathogenic microbes in the exudate can pose health risks.
• Wear appropriate disposable gloves when replacing the container.
• Replace the exudate pouch including the exudate pouch tube in
accordance with the respectively applicable hygiene regulations, at the latest
every week, before achange of patient or when full.
• Reprocessing is required whenever there is achange of patient.
Reprocessing means that all the single-use products are disposed of
and the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit wipe-down disinfected. The
Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit must only be opened by L&R or an
authorised L&R service partner.
• The exudate and all components contaminated with it must be disposed of
in accordance with the facility’s policies.

CNP Carry Bag for mobile use supplied with the
Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 is intended for single use per patient. It should not be
used for other patients but be disposed of once used.
CAUTION
Shipping instructions
• The therapy unit must be sent in the supplied case, which must also be
protected by an additional box.
• Used exudate pouches must not be sent with the device but should be
disposed of properly.
Before the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit is passed on to the next user, it must be
professionally reprocessed by L&R or an authorised specialist.
The reprocessing must be performed in accordance with the Medical Devices Operator Ordinance
(MPBetreibV), the Medical Devices Act (MPG) and the manufacturer’s specifications. L&R offers
its customers and partners rapid and professional reprocessing as well as the performance of
necessary tests and checks.
The Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit must be cleaned and disinfected before dispatch
totheL&R Service Centre. Please refer to Section 7.
8.2 Storage
• Store the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit in accordance with the specifications
inTechnical Data (Section 9).
• Charge the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit’s battery before storing the device.
Thisensures that it can be used at any time.
• If the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit is not used for an extended period of time
(severalmonths), the battery should be fully recharged!
