7 Cleaning of Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit
CAUTION
Avoiding infections
Infectious and pathogenic microbes in the exudate can pose health risks.
• Wear appropriate disposable gloves when replacing the container.
• Replace the exudate pouch including the exudate pouch tube in
accordance with the respectively applicable hygiene regulations,
at the latest every week, before achange of patient or when full.
• Reprocessing is required whenever there is achange of patient.
Reprocessing means that all the single-use products are disposed
of and the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit wipe-down disinfected.
TheSuprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit must only be opened by L&R
oranauthorised L&R service partner.
• The exudate and all components contaminated with it must be disposed
ofinaccordance with the facility’s policies.
CAUTION
Cleaning the device
• Switch off the device prior to cleaning/disinfection by disconnecting
thepower supply from the mains power and then from the power socket
ontheSuprasorb
®
CNP P3.
• Disconnection from the power supply is only guaranteed when
thechargingcable is removed from the charging port.

Use of disinfectants
• We recommend wearing appropriate disposable gloves when performing
disinfection.
• Please observe the disinfectant manufacturer’s specifications.
Disinfection during the therapy is not expressly required when using the device on asingle
patient at home.
Disinfection is generally required when the device is used in an inpatient setting.
7.1 Cleaning and disinfection of the device surfaces and the container
• Clean the device regularly and disinfect the surfaces at least once aweek.
• All devices can be wiped with adamp, lint-free cloth.
When the device has been in use for an extended period, the plastic components of the housing
may exhibit slight discolouration. This does not have any effect on the functioning of the device.
If liquids come into contact with the inside of the device, the unit must be checked by L&R or
anL&R authorised service partner.
