3 Preparation for commissioning
3.1 Prior to commissioning
Always keep an additional exudate pouch for the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 available, as this is
obligatory for safe operation!
• Read the instructions for use through completely before you use the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3
therapy unit for the first time.
• Remove the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 and its accessories from the Suprasorb
®
CNP Case.
• Always position the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit on asolid, flat surface, paying
attention to the correct positioning of the device (horizontally or in the bed mount).
• All the tubes and the power supply need to be checked for damage each time before
youuse the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit. Avoiding kinking the tubes when
connectingthe tubes. Ensure that the container system and tubes are connected
correctlybefore switching on the device.
• Fully charge the battery prior to first use.
• Perform afunction test (see Section 3.2).
WARNING
Strangulation
• Ensure that the therapy is administered in such away that the tubes
andcables do not pose astrangulation risk.
CAUTION
Setting the volume
• Before using the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3, check that the current volume
ofthealarms is appropriate for the environment. Ensure that you can
hearthe acoustic alarm and thus handle the error message promptly.

• Medical electrical devices are subject to special safety precautions
intermsof electromagnetic compatibility and need to be installed and
commissioned in accordance with the EMC information (see Section 9)!

Incorrect accessories and spare parts
• The use of accessories and spare parts not recommended by L&R can
have adetrimental effect on the safety and functioning of the device.
• Damage caused by the use of accessories and spare parts other
thanrecommended or improper use of the device is not covered
byanywarranty.
• Use original accessories and spare parts only.

• Never suction flammable, corrosive or explosive liquids or gases.
