The three steps for connecting the tube using the single-piece connector are:
1. Insert the tube into the connector for
connection.
2. The tube is inserted, but the connector
isstill unlocked.
3. Connector is locked at both ends.
1. Insert the exudate pouch tube TWO
CENTIMETRES into the connector for
connection. Push alittle more if necessary.
2. The exudate pouch tube is now inserted.
However, the connector is still UNLOCKED.
Lock the connector by pulling the sliding
ends of the connector apart.
3. Figure 3 shows the connector when
LOCKED.

CAUTION
Avoiding infections
Infectious and pathogenic microbes in the exudate can pose health risks.
Wear appropriate disposable gloves when replacing the container.
Replace the exudate pouch including the exudate pouch tube in
accordance with the respectively applicable hygiene regulations,
atthelatest every week, before achange of patient or when full.
Reprocessing is required whenever there is achange of patient.
Reprocessing means that all the single-use products are disposed
of and the Suprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit wipe-down disinfected.
TheSuprasorb
®
CNP P3 therapy unit must only be opened by L&R or
anauthorised L&R service partner.
The exudate and all components contaminated with it must be disposed
ofin accordance with the facility’s policies.
