E-7 [Screen does not switch to service mode]
Before starting a diagnosis, ensure that there is no difference in the way of accessing the service mode screen
again and the input password.
Content Screen does not switch to service mode
Assumed cause
and action to be
taken
Cause Diagnostic method and action to be taken
1
Processing capacity
insufficient
• Turn the key to OFF and restart to check
2 Software error
• When the phenomenon appears again after the system is
restarted, a software error may have occurred. Accordingly,
re-write the software.
(The internal fault prevents the diagnosis to be executed.)
3 Monitor fault
• When the phenomenon appears even if the software is
rewritten, monitor fault should be suspected.
(The internal fault prevents the diagnosis to be executed.)
E-8 [Engine does not start (no engine-related error code displayed)]
If an error code is displayed, prioritize the diagnosis and countermeasures for it.
Content The engine does not start.

Cause Diagnostic method and action to be taken
1 Battery capacity shortage
• Check if battery voltage has dropped.
Voltage (1 item): 12 V or more; Specific gravity (1 item): 1.26
or more
2 Fuse blown off
• Check if fuse has been blown off. If so, ground fault may have
occurred, and thus check the circuit.
Fuse F9
Starter fuse 60 A, glow fuse 80 A
3 Starter switch fault • Check if the starter switch functions properly.
4 Locking lever switch fault
• Check to make sure that the locking lever is not in free
position.
• Check if the micro switch functions properly.
5 Emergency stop switch fault
• Check to make sure that the emergency stop switch has not
been pressed.
• Check if the emergency stop switch functions properly.
6 Starter relay fault • Check if the starter relay functions properly.
7 Starter fault • Check if the starter functions properly.
8 Alternator fault • Check if the alternator functions properly.
9
Open-circuit failure of
harness
(Open-circuit or connector
contact fault)
• Check the starter circuit for any open-circuit.
10
Harness short-circuit fault
(Contact with grounding
circuit)
• Check to ensure that no ground fault is found in the starter
circuit.
