EXTERNAL DEVICES NOT
RESPONDING
Dataport not turned on.
Do this:
Press AUX 6 to turn the dataport
on.
See page 5-9.
Unit not sending output messages in
correct format.
Do this:
Refer to the device's user guide to
determine the correct message
format. Press AUX 6 to verify the
unit's setting and change it, if
necessary.
Cables and adapters are not secure,
or are not connected correctly.
Do this:
Check all cables and adapters;
refer to the illustration on page 2-4
for proper connections.
Unit not in continuous mode.
Do this:
Turn the unit off, connect the unit
to
an external power source, then
turn the unit on, or turn the Battery
Saver off (AUX 9).
Unit is not taking fixes.
Do this:
You must press POS, NAV, or VEL
to
get continuous fixes.
AUTOPILOT DOES NOT
Refer to "External Devices," above.
RESPOND
You are not navigating on a "route."
Do this:
Set a route as described on page
4-18. Operate from external power
or with the Battery Saver off, and
press POS, NAV, or VEL."
