Waypoints can also be entered manually.

Press WPT.
Press ENTER.
Key in the name you want
to use for this Waypoint
and press ENTER, or
press ENTER twice to
name the Waypoint
automatically.
Key in a one- to six-
character waypoint name,
using the alphanumeric
keys as described on page
2-14, then press ENTER.
Press ENTER twice for the
NAV 5000 to name the
waypoint automatically.
The name will be in the
format WPTxxx, where xxx
is 001 through 099, in
sequence.
