Checking the oil
level
• Place a clean container under the screw (1).
• Remove the drain plug (1).
About 3 litres (0.8 gal) of oil will then flow
from the opening (1) (the oil radiator is
mounted above).
• Check that the oil reaches the lower edge
of the opening (1).
• Fit a new gasket and tighten the drain
plug (1).
• Remove the drain plug (2).
• Top up with fresh oil if necessary to achieve
an oil quantity of about 3 litres (0.8 gal)
in the container.
• Pour the oil from the container into the opening (2).
• Fit a new gasket and tighten the drain plug (2).
7.7.3 Changing the oil

Prerequisites – The truck crane must be raised on outriggers or parked over an
inspection
pit.
– The engine must be switched off and secured against unauthorised use;
